Boer Bok Stud, located in Busselton, in the south west of Western Australia, was established in 1997 as one of the original Boer Goat studs in the state.
The studs original blood lines were based on Terraweena full blood stock, which have been continually up graded with new bloodlines. Terraweena was the organisation that carried out the huge task of quarantining of the Boer Goat for introduction into Australia. Who in turn, continued the introduction of the latest South African lines, whenever permitted, to conform to AQIS requirements.
We are proud to advise that our stud stock has been exported to clients throughout Asia and the Middle East. We must note here that we have down sized our breeding herd and no longer produce large numbers for sale any more. Our breeding numbers have been reduced and we now only produce a small number of high grade full blood animals. As Boer Goat stud breeders, our breeding program includes the introduction of top animals from around Australia, with the use of Artificial Insemination, from time to time.
After extensive testing over some years we are now recognised as a disease free property where animals may not enter or return to the property at any time for any reason. Because of this, we do not hire out bucks or take in does for mating.
We welcome visitors, but it is by by appointment only.
Enquiries are welcome at any time and advice is always available.
Boer Bok Stud does NOT use, or recommend the routine use of antibiotics or any other form of growth promotants at any time.
